Cape Town, 23 October 2026. Hyundai Automotive South Africa celebrated the long service of thirty-four employees at a ceremony in Cape Town, recognizing their long-service, loyalty, commitment and experience that have helped build, sustain and grow its business.

The employees’ years of service range from five to 35 years, representing a combined 540 years of institutional knowledge. Among those honoured are Princess Kani, who served as a Cleaner for 20 years at Hyundai Paarl, Wolf Kreft, Dealer Principal at Hyundai Somerset West who marks 25 years with the company as well as Nic Lotter, Sales Executive Hyundai Somerset West who is celebrating 25 years.

Their different roles tell a distinctive common and broader story about an automotive company that values people not only for the positions they hold, but for the contributions they make.

“Every person wants to feel valued for the work they do. I am proud to be part of Hyundai Automotive South Africa and it means a great deal to know that my contribution is recognized. We may have different jobs but we are all part of the same team,” Kani said.

Kreft’s 35-year journey reflects Hyundai’s commitment a supportive work environment.

“My mission has always been to create a positive and supportive working environment for myself and my staff. Over the years, I have come to appreciate that experience is not simply a matter of repeating the same year 35 times over. I am proud of how far I have come, and grateful to be part of a company that believes in developing its people,” he said.

For Lotter, two decades in sales have provided an opportunity to build lasting relationships with customers, colleagues and created unforgettable memories.

“In 2015, I had the honour of representing South Africa at the World Championship Competition for Sales Executives as one of only three South Africans participating. Being part of the team that won the gold medal was a defining moment in my professional career.”

Stanley Anderson, CEO of Hyundai Automotive South Africa said the recognition of these employees reflected a culture that values people at every level.

“Our promote-from-within philosophy is about identifying talent, nurturing it, supporting our employees and creating opportunities for them to progress. Equally important is recognizing that every individual contributes to the success of our business, whatever their role,” Anderson said.
